Most psychiatrists are not religious, let alone Christian. There are also some psychiatrists who are Christian but whose practice of psychiatry is not significantly informed by their faith. At JA&A, we believe that all understandings of human behavior, thinking, motivation, and suffering must be not only informed but transformed by our faith. While we have the same training and expertise as any other physician in the field, we also have a burden to submit this understanding to a robust biblical anthropology. Through this lens, we provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and assessment, as well as ongoing treatment, for both routine and complex psychiatric issues. Our Christian psychiatrists are equipped to provide therapy as well as medication management services.
